Life is a long series of discrete events, all leading to one all-important discovery

We are often shaped as much by the pain in our life as by the joys.

Our life is an accumulation of our past, both good and bad. So, too, is the way we see it.

The hardest thing to do is to let something stay
forever because whether we like it or not, things
must change as people come and go. We can
never tell what will happen there and after.
It's always nice to look back to those splendid
moments of the past especially if it was spent with
special people in our lives, but sad to say most of them are
just but memories. In friendship for instance, I
wonder and ever wonder why friendship has to
undergo adjustments and perseverance to make it
work and grow, only to find out later that the
friendship has come to an end, and the relationship
has turned us down and sometimes, left us sweet
and precious words that meant not a single one.
What is worst sometimes is that we dont know
how to start friendship all over again.
They say that the only permanent thing in this
world is change, certainly it's true, but sometimes
it's difficult to take. Just like nowadays, we can
never say that we can stay to where we are now
forever, another day will come for us to live and to
face. Although life is a cycle, yet what we have
yesterday or whatever happened in the past can
never be regained once more. And the most
disppointing words to utter are " if only I could turn
back the hands of time"....

We always want to hold the happy times in our
lives, we dont want to end it if only we are to
choose because we are afraid of losing something
or somebody that left an extraordinary mark in
us. If things are lost or if there's someone who became part of us, we dream of having them back once
again. There are times when we are just awakened
by the reality that there's nothing in this world we
own. But whether it is a success or a failure, what
is important is that we've done our part to make it
last for long.
There's nothing wrong in reminiscing the past, for
as long as we won't live there. It's very impossible
to live with a peace of mind if there are remains of
pain, guilt and regrets within us. Perhaps the secret of
being happy in this life is to learn how to forgive
and forget, to try to let go of what should go...but how can you forgive if you can't forget?

Someone told me that when you truly love someone, you also give that person the capacity to hurt you.
